Students are encouraged to review this information prior to filing a complaint against a SARA institution.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-414dd46 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"414dd46\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Complaints against a SARA participating institution must first go through the institution\u2019s own grievance procedures. All complaints regarding student grades or conduct violations are governed by the institution and the laws of the institution\u2019s home state.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f7f3636 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f7f3636\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>If a student is not satisfied with the outcome of the institutional grievance process, the student may appeal, within two years of the incident, to the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nc-sara.org\/state-portal-entity-contacts\"><u>SARA portal agency of the institution\u2019s home state<\/u><\/a>.<\/strong> For all complaints regarding Texas degree-granting postsecondary institutions participating in SARA, complete the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/reportcenter.highered.texas.gov\/agency-publication\/blank-forms-templates\/student-complaints-form\/\"><u><strong>Student Complaint Form<\/strong>\u00a0<\/u><\/a>and email the form to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:Student.Complaints@highered.texas.gov\"><u>Complaints@highered.texas.gov<\/u><\/a>.<\/strong> Please include the following information within the student complaint form when describing the complaint:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-68f1a4d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"68f1a4d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li>Did the complaint result from distance education courses, activities, and operations provided by a Texas SARA-participating institution?<\/li><li>Was the student a resident of a state other than Texas at the time of the complaint?<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SARA Student Complaint Process SARA Student Complaint Process NC-SARA provides information on filing a student complaint\u00a0under SARA policies.
