CREDIT & CLOCK HOUR SYSTEM

SSM uses both the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) and the U.S. semester credit hour system to measure academic achievement and student workload.

One ECTS credit represents approximately 7.5 hours of academic engagement.

A standard 4-ECTS module includes:

  • 30 hours of academic engagement

  • 60 hours of independent preparation and study

  • 90 total learning hours

SSM applies the following conversion ratio:

2 ECTS = 1 U.S. semester credit hour
